White Bathroom Tiles

Designed by Both Minds Design, this bathroom is the ideal spot for a relaxing soak after a long day, especially on a cold, snowy evening. The natural white 2-by-6-inch zellige tile brings out this bathroom’s other design elements.

If the white bathtub is the perfect reflection of fresh-fallen snow, it’s complemented well by the off-white zellige tile around the shower and the large gray tile on the shower wall. This mixture of texture and tile sizes emphasizes the calming neutrality of this bathroom.

Tiled Pedestals

Our zellige tile also comes in an even warmer color in 4-inch square glazed clay. Zellige, a traditional Moroccan tile made from non-refined clay from the Fez region, is low-fired terracotta. And this glazed clay tile shows it.

These warm tiles are used creatively, attached to pedestals to give the space texture. The two pedestals were custom-made for Wildly Floral Co., a flower shop in New Jersey, by the interior design studio Spaces by Hollie Velten.

Glazed Clay Tiles

Glazed clay zellige tile works well as more than just a decoration on a DIY pedestal. These clay 4-inch square zellige tiles are the perfect neutral in any space, and their earthy tone is the ideal hue to warm up a room on a cold winter day.

Glazed clay zellige tiles are different enough from a white or gray neutral to make a room interesting. Zebedee Designs mixed the zellige tile with similarly colored cabinets and chunky terrazzo quartz countertops. These colors also match perfectly with warm wooden accents, an easy way to make a room feel inviting during colder months.

Plaid Tiles

Just like the winter season comes every year, you can count on the traditional black-and-white tile combination, especially when it reveals itself in an intricate plaid detail.

This plaid entryway, designed by Sincerely Lindsay Design Co., is a playful homage to the client’s Scottish ancestry. Our Bowen cement tile matches the front hallway’s clean, white walls and allows for a pop of colorful blue underneath the coat hooks.

Layering Textures

If neutral white and terracotta spaces are too simple for your tastes, try layering textures this winter like you’d layer jackets to keep warm outside.

This bathroom by House Seven Design combines  3-by-6-inch subway Casablanca Carrara marble tile with 2-inch hexagonal mosaic Casablanca Carrara marble tiles. Though both tiles in the shower are white, their juxtaposed different sizes pop when placed next to warm brown wallpaper and woven shades.
