Celebrity Style: Recreate The Look of Kacey Musgraves’s Nashville Home

Star Struck

Nothing gets us quite as excited as a new celebrity feature in Architectural Digest. Palatial homes, Hollywood’s biggest stars, and award-worthy design: what’s not to love? AD featured Kacey Musgraves, country singer-songwriter and winner of six Grammy Awards earlier this month. While her musical awards are not on display, her Nashville home is just as delightful as her music.

If you want Kacey’s look but don’t have her world-renown pop star budget, keep reading to see how we’d recreate some of our favorite looks.

“I love a monochromatic moment,” Kacey says, welcoming AD (and, by extension, all of us) into her home. We couldn’t agree more. One place where this is on prime display is her bathroom, which is tranquil with white fixtures and marble accents.

“I really wanted a serene space to come home to that felt kinda like honestly, a spa,” she tells AD. May we say mission accomplished? The marble countertops in this bathroom maintain the continuity of the space while adding just enough depth and texture. “It was really important for me to have a lot of different textures…of the same tones,” Musgraves said.

Musgraves embraces wabi-sabi, which is the Japanese idea of accepting (and embracing) imperfections. That aligns with our philosophy, especially regarding our “perfectly imperfect” Zellige tile. Our Zellige comes in several hues, and even in monochrome, the tiles’ handmade, one-of-a-kind nature brings texture and life to a space. Below are two bathrooms that use our Snow Zellige and Casablanca Carrara tile to evoke spa-like similarity.

Marble accents are a fixture throughout Musgraves’s home, and not only in white. Her kitchen features black marble countertops, which excellently balance the white of the walls and ceilings.

Another place we’re finding a lot of inspiration is Musgraves’s bar area, which sports more marble, gold accents, and a self-sculpted camel.

Kacey’s house features many antique finds from estate sales around the country, and this rug has us thinking of all the beautiful things that are possible with Zellige.
