Our Pink-Hued Blush Zellige Tile Adds a Pop of Color to Your Home

Blush pink is an underrated color to play up in the home. It’s soft and warm in the summer, like the day’s heat. But in the fall, it seems dustier than usual, not unlike the colorful leaves outside, slowly losing their colors by the end of the season. Come Valentine’s Day, pink keeps you warm in the winter. In spring, it reminds you of the flowers that will soon bloom. Any time of the year, blush pink suits an indoor space.

When it comes to displaying blush pink in your home, consider our pink Zellige tile design ideas. Artisans harvest clay from the Fez region of Morocco to make Zellige tile following centuries of tradition. Because of this, low-fired terracotta Blush Zellige tiles come in various shades and sizes, some with slight cracks or pits.

Blush Pink Bathrooms

Perhaps the place that pink tile fits best is in the powder room. Something about the soft color of Blush Zellige perfectly matches the feeling of a bathroom. It’s a soft enough pink that it’s close to a neutral color while still giving off enough of a warming color to remind you to nurture and love your body at the beginning and end of every day.

This bathroom by DIYer Sarah Randall has 2″x6″ Blush Zellige tiles lining the shower. The near-neutral nature of this pink tile perfectly complements the ceiling’s exposed wooden beams and the mirror’s wooden frame. The white walls and bathroom fixtures brighten up the space.

In this bathroom, the same size of Blush Zellige tile extends far past the confines of the shower. Interior designer Corin Havens thought pink tiles would fit perfectly in a home where she did a mid-century modern renovation. The result gives off a coastal feeling, especially with the Blush Zellige as a backdrop for the woven lampshade, perfectly matching the sink’s wooden cabinetry. The large, circular mirror and golden shower fixtures nod to the modern side of Corin’s design.

Pink Tile Kitchens

Also a fan of 2″x6″ Blush Zellige tiles, Lauren DeBello Interiors design studio completely renovated a Nashville kitchen with a pop of pink. Before this project, the kitchen was in a corner of the house, across from a dark laundry room. Reconfiguring the space allowed Lauren to create more storage and natural light in the kitchen.

The white cabinetry and kitchen countertop maximize the natural light flowing in from the windows. Light wooden accessories add more of a neutral color to the space, balancing out the slight pink of the tiles. This includes the floor, island chairs, shelving, and even a receptacle of wooden spoons and a rolling pin on the countertop. The gold faucet and mounted wall lighting reflect even more light around the room.

Finally, this kitchen is the perfect combination of bright and moody. Interior designer Katherine Thewlis combined 4″x4″ Blush Zellige tiles, bright white countertops, and a geometric bar with maroon cabinetry. She even painted the refrigerator and the linoleum floors as a cheap alternative to buying new ones and to introduce new moody and bright elements into the room.
