DIY Couple Nik and Alivia Find a Silver Lining In Broken Bow, Oklahoma
The Cabin Collection is a group of four sleek but snug cabins in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, designed in collaboration with Dallas designer Gilded Heights. With the peaceful green forest of Broken Bow as a backdrop, each of the four rentable cabins is thoughtfully and lovingly designed and features a variety of stunning Riad Tile in the kitchens and bathrooms.
When we recently heard that one of our partners, Nik and Alivia—an Oklahoma-based couple who share their love for DIY and home design online—were enduring flooding issues in their new home, we invited them to escape the stress (and the water damage) at the Cabin Collection for a weekend of family fun and relaxation.
Nik and Alivia shared some of the details of their forest getaway on their Instagram page. Check out their post and continue reading to learn more about their stay and how you can book the Cabin Collection for your next vacation.

Nik and Alivia’s Trip
Two days after buying Alivia’s childhood home to renovate it and make it their forever home, the couple ran into a worst-case scenario: $30,000 in water damage caused by a moving accident. After we saw that they were dealing with such a stressful and chaotic situation, we had a hunch that Nik and Alivia needed to blow off some steam and spend some quality time together with their family in nature.
We were thrilled when Nik and Alivia accepted our invitation to escape to The Cabin Collection for a weekend—along with their children and a group of friends—and posted about their stay on their Instagram page.
“One of the coolest things is that there are four cabins, all in pretty close proximity, and they’re all just as high quality,” Nik said. “It even has a community playground! It would be an excellent place for a large family or even a group of friends to all stay.”
“We brought our espresso machines, we checked out, and we had a great time with our friends.”
A Closer Look at The Cabin Collection
“It was obvious that every detail of this cabin was very well thought-out,” Nik said of his experience at the Arboles cabin, where he and Alivia recently stayed with their kids.
Though the design of each cabin is unique, they all share a modern, airy look with large, light-filled windows, light wood and touches of Americana. Each cabin has three bedrooms and two baths; they sleep anywhere from three to eight people. The open concept, abundance of natural light and intentional custom design touches—as well as the stunning Moroccan tile from Riad—elevate these cabins to a level above your typical vacation rental.
Riad’s handmade Moroccan Zellige tiles are front-and-center in the Arboles cabin — 4×4 Zellige Tiles in Snow White are featured in the backsplash of its chic kitchen space. Each richly glazed tile is one-of-a-kind, giving the backsplash a luxurious textured look.
Other Riad Tile products are featured throughout the rest of the cabins, including the Rincon’s chic ensuite shower, clad in Casablanca Carrara marble, and the eye-catching all-American Superstar Blue tile on the floor of the Coba cabin’s guest bath.
Guests of the Arboles, Rincon, Coba and Hartwood cabins love gathering around the gas fire pit and grill on the deck, soaking in the hot tub and enjoying the spacious deck that connects the inside of the cabins with the great outdoors.
