Whether by exploring new interior decor styles or mixing and matching existing styles and ideas, there’s no shortage of excitement in today’s interior design scene. Designers are pulling inspiration from all over the world and bringing it into their own homes. Today, we’ll take a look at some of the latest from the marble tiling world.

If there’s one thing we can say about Norwegian Rose marble mosaic tile, it’s that the people that use it seem to have quite creative visions in mind when they set out to use this amazing variety of tile. From bursts of contrasting color to fascinating oddities and bits of decor dotting the newly renovated rooms, pink marble mosaic tile goes fantastically with all manner of curiosities, like this bathroom above.

A stunning mix of classic and contemporary, this spectacular bathroom’s blend of the gorgeous floral wallpaper, reclaimed wood, a refinished maple door from 1919, and none other than our 5” Hexagon mosaic Norwegian Rose tile. As the only US-based distributors of Norwegian Rose marble tile, we absolutely love seeing this exquisite variety of marble being used to bring a fresh angle to classic interior design styles. This bathroom overall lands somewhere between modern country and rustic style, but the use of pink marble for the flooring transforms this space into something else entirely. This space exhibits the designers incredible vision and creativity, and we are immensely impressed with the ingenuity that went into this small bathroom.

Though inventiveness goes a long way in creating truly customized spaces, no one should ever write off the classics:

This cool but vibrant bathroom perfectly demonstrates marble’s beauty in its simplest form. This bathroom’s simple fixtures and color scheme places the focus squarely on the different types of marble tile making up the shower and flooring. This bathroom features our Herringbone Casablanca Carrara marble mosaic tile alongside our prominent 6×12 Casablanca Carrara subway tile. This bathroom’s delicate white hue is both comfortable and sleek, proving that relying primarily on white marble tile to provide color and texture is very much a viable way of creating an excellent space. The simple contrast between the delicate herringbone pattern and the sturdy subway tile is more than enough to keep this space interesting while sticking to the simple but elegant color palette present by the Casablanca Carrara marble. We’re always impressed when we see designers use their skill and vision to make the most out of simplicity.

In contrast to this classic bathroom, white marble mosaic tile can also be used to bring a bit of color to a space, uniting disparate design elements into one cohesive space.

Similar to the bathroom and shower above, this use of marble mosaic tile functions as a way of adding complexity to a bright white space. Where this room differs (aside from being a kitchen instead of a bathroom) is in the level of opulence and complexity present. Both due to this designer’s preference for modern decor and the fact that there’s often more room in the kitchen to experiment with different bits and pieces of decor, this space exhibits a gorgeous, classic blend of textures that land this space close enough to modern farmhouse style to be comfortable while still branching in exciting directions. Our Casablanca Carrara marble tile provides designers with an ideal way of preserving a simple black-white-grey color palette while introducing a variation of hues that would be difficult to achieve through other materials. Our Herringbone Casablanca Carrara, as seen in this kitchen, introduces an exciting textural complexity and a dose of earthy, organic color that serves to add some shades of grey between the white cabinets and black fixtures. Additionally, it’s a brilliant pair alongside the stone countertops, the two natural materials playing together brilliantly.

Going Beyond Classic Decor

In a decidedly more modern setting, marble mosaic tile has a great deal to offer. In fact, marble tile is the perfect foil for the smooth, clean lines that characterize modern design, rooting the space in something more textured and interesting. Our marble tiles are hewn from only the highest quality slabs, which are inspected for both quality and consistency. Each order of tiles comes from the same slab, which ensures that variations in color are consistent across orders. That being said, what makes marble tile special (and significantly more interesting than marble slabs, in our opinion) is the way that the patterns are broken up across the tiling. The slabs all have contiguous patterns, but when those patterns are broken up into individual tiles, each tile gains its own unique pattern, veining, and personality. This leads to applications that are deeply varied in texture, while remaining close in color so everything matches perfectly.

This aspect of marble tile is especially apparent in bathrooms like this one, which makes use of Herringbone Casablanca Carrara marble mosaic tile. This designer uses the intricate herringbone pattern to give what is otherwise a fairly sleek and modern bathroom a prominent pattern that positively dances through this moody space. Again, you can see that a simple color scheme doesn’t hold this bathroom back. In fact, the simple colors allow viewers to focus on the beauty of the herringbone pattern as well as the subtle coloration present in our Casablanca Carrara. This designer saw the strengths of this simple, intricate tile and played to them masterfully.
